According to our local Church constitution, Membership in Eden Church is open to any person who has been baptized and has been confirmed or has made public confession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Eden offers Membership Orientation classes for anyone who is interested in becoming a member of our congregation. These classes are offered for adults several times throughout the year. These classes provide attendees an opportunity to come and learn about what it means to be a member of the Eden Church family.
The purpose of the classes is to give perspective members an opportunity to meet other people who have expressed an interest in Church membership, learn more about Eden Church and to reflect on their core beliefs in light of the membership requirements of our Church. Topics of study during this time include:
- What does it mean to be a Christian?
- What is the Church?
- What is the Purpose of the Church?
- Why belong to a Church? What is required of members?
- Who is Eden Church?
- Who is the Evangelical Associaion? What is Eden Church’s relationship to the Evangelical Association?
During class, attendees will hear about Eden Church, its ministries, and its organization from the Senior Pastor. They will learn basic information about who we are, what we’re about, and how to get involved. Attendees will take a tour of our campus and learn about our Church staff. Attendees will receive a packet of flyers and pamphlets describing various ministries and opportunities offered by our congregation.
Contact Angel in the church office, 618-656-4330 or secretary@edenchurch-edw.org if you would like more information or to register for the next class.
